General Plan Process

The “General Plan Process Overview” graphic provides an overview of the entire General Plan process in terms of time, community input and key documents. The green arrow shows the 18 month General Plan update process in time. The blue bubbles and blue arrows show community involvement.

Please note the General Plan Steering Committee meeting starts in what would roughly be September 2005 and ends in about May 2006. The Website and Press Release blue arrow starts in September and continues through the end of the process. The blue bubbles are approximately placed in reference to time. The orange boxes represent key documents which will make up the General Plan.

Also note the Background Report was prepared from April through June. Also, note the arrow from the Background Report goes to and from the “Visioning & Key Principals” box. This means data from the Background/Existing Conditions Report will be used as a baseline for the Visioning and Key Principals Report while the outcome of the Visioning and Key Principals report will be incorporated back into the Background report. By the same token, the arrow from the Preferred Plan means the Preferred Plan will be presented at the Family Open House Workshop. Feedback from the Family Open House will update the Preferred Plan.
