People
Helping People
Teens are given the opportunity to provide volunteer services to senior
citizens in the community. The program provides fun, friendship,
special activities, and valuable services to community members in need.
There are meetings once a month and volunteer hours are arranged as
necessary. For more information call the Teen Center at 303-0863.
Free Tutoring
Free tutoring is available at the Teen Center Tuesday and Thursday from
3:00pm-6:00pm.
Turning Point Project
With the hopes of reducing teen pregnancy and fatherlessness, the City of
Duarte, Methodist Hospital of Southern California and Foothill Family
Service provide many special programs for teens.
Share Mentoring
Program: Links
children and teens (including pregnant teens) with an adult mentor.
Teen ParentHood: Provides
teen parents an opportunity to improve their self worth and self-esteem in a
group setting.
Reducing the Risk: Free
class designed to give teens the skills to avoid STDs and teen pregnancy.
