EIR for Vulcan’s Application for a Modified Conditional Use Permit and
Amended Reclamation Plan
This response, also shared with 28 City Managers and Directors of
Community Development of cities in the San Gabriel Valley, identified
numerous deficiencies in Azusa’s document.

Approximately 60 residents from the California American service area
including Duarte addressed the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC)
during a Public Participation Hearing (PPH) on the proposed general rate

Unity and Peace Concert benefiting the annual Route 66 Parade on Saturday,
July 11, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Duarte Unified School District
Performing Arts Center (PAC).

13-17
Coach Rodney Jefferson will direct the basketball clinic from 8 a.m. to 1
p.m. at the Northview Gym teaching the fundamentals of dribbling, free throw
shooting, defensive skills, and passing.

Newly Renovated Royal Oaks Park Building Opens
After
undergoing months of major renovations, the 40 year-old recreation building
at Royal Parks Park celebrated its grand opening on June 25.
“It’s a wonderful improvement for the building and will offer a much more
comfortable and functional facility to hold the many recreation classes and
programs offered there for the community,” said Parks and Recreation
Director, Donna Georgino.

Championship finals bout against Laura Ramirez of the Bronx, New York, but
she still came home a winner in the eyes of her coaches and gym mates at the

Four alleged members of the “Du Roc Crips” street gang have been
arrested and charged with murder in the Feb. 9, 2009 drive-by shooting of
Miguel Sanchez, 18, a Citrus College student.
