Madre Fire Above Duarte - Update

 

 

AZUSA, Ca -- LA County reports the Madre Fire is now at 72% containment with full containment expected by 6:00 am Friday morning.  At this time there is no threat to the cities of Duarte or Bradbury. Approximately 250 acres have been burned in the Angeles National Forest.  There were 3 evacuations in the Mountain Cove neighborhood of Azusa and three firefighters also sustained minor injuries.

 

There has been no further information regarding any other structures being threatened. Fire fighters and deputies remained on scene overnight.  Duarte’s Encanto Park is now open to the public and Highway 39 is open to residents only.
