Duarte “Green Home” Awards Competition Launched

Duarte homeowners who maintain the beauty of their homes while thinking “Green” are the focus of the recently announced Duarte “Green Home” Awards competition.

This program, offered to the community in lieu of the former Home Beautification effort, will recognize its environmentally conscious winners during the May 25th Duarte City Council meeting. Applications, due March 31st, are now available at Duarte City Hall, Parks and Recreation Department, 1600 Huntington Drive or on-line here.

Co-sponsored by Cal American Water, Duarte “Green Home” award winners will be recognized for such “Green” endeavors as switching to drip irrigation systems, and incorporating drought tolerant plants into existing landscaping, while still maintaining their home’s exterior beauty.
