Mayor’s 2010 Youth Council Recruitment Announced
The City of Duarte is currently taking applications for one-year terms on the Mayor’s Youth Council running from July 1, 2010-June 30, 2011.
The Mayor’s Youth Council is a leadership development program providing local teens with the opportunity to advise, recommend, and assist with activities and issues affecting young people in Duarte.
In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must be enrolled in grades 7-11, be able to attend all meetings and events, be a City of Duarte resident or attend school in the Duarte Unified School District, and be committed to represent the teens of Duarte.
Applications are due to the Duarte Teen Center no later than 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 2nd. Interviews will be held on June 8th, at City Hall in the conference room. All eligible Duarte teens are encouraged to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to have a voice for the youth of Duarte.
