Home Ownership Program (HOP) Funds Available
The Home Ownership Program (HOP) is financed with HOME funds provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is subject to the applicable federal regulations. HOP has been designed to meet the needs of low-income families with the necessary down payment assistance. HOP loans are available in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County and cities participating in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Urban County Program, including the City of Duarte.
To participate you must review the program highlights by clicking on the Home Ownership Program brochure below. You may also contact the LA County Home Ownership Program office at (323) 890-7281 and request an information brochure or get information through the website: http://www.lacdc.org/CDCWebsite/HDP/HOP.aspx. After you review the program highlights, you need to call one of the approved participating lenders to be pre-qualified. Those lenders are listed in the information brochure. The County’s HOP program is available for existing and new construction properties. Funds will be available on December 3, 2008, on a first-come, first-serve basis. The program is administered by the LA County Community Development Commission and that office can be reached at (323) 890-7281.
