Vulcan Materials Company, Western Division, today announced that access to Fish Canyon Trail will be open through its Azusa Rock Quarry site on Saturday, January 10. Vulcan will provide hikers with free parking on its property and free shuttle service through the quarry to the trailhead.
“We look forward to providing the public with direct access to Fish Canyon Trail. The three-mile roundtrip excursion leads visitors and the local community through the wilderness to a magnificent, multi-tiered waterfall, hiking trails and running streams,” said Jim Gore, project manager, Azusa Rock.
Vulcan will open its gates to the Azusa Rock site at 7:00 a.m. Shuttles to the trailhead will run throughout the morning, with the last trip up at 12:00 p.m. All hikers must return to the Azusa Rock site by 3:00 p.m. As a safety measure, please note that all hikers will be asked to sign-in so an accurate head count can be maintained. This trail access will be cancelled in the event of rain.
