Young Survivors of Sichuan, China Earthquake Visit Students at Duarte High School March 10

What: A group of 20 Chinese students from Sichuan Dujiangyan High School, all survivors of the devastating 8.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Sichuan, China last May, visit with students at Duarte High School.

When: Tuesday, March 10; 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Where: Duarte High School
1565 E. Central Ave., Duarte

Why: The students are here on a cultural exchange arranged by the Zhongkun International Youth Foundation, headquartered in Monrovia, CA. The students were selected based on their high academic achievement, low family income and extraordinary performance during the earthquake relief, according to Mr. Huang Nubo, the philanthropist who established the Zhongkun International Youth Foundation in March 2008.
