Christian Recording Artists to Perform At Unity and Peace Concert in Duarte, Aug. 28

Unity and Peace will be at the heart of a concert to be held Saturday, Aug. 28 at the Duarte Performing Arts Center, 1401 Highland Ave., Duarte. The concert, co-sponsored by the City of Duarte and the Duarte Education Foundation will feature a host of Christian recording artists representing a variety of musical genres. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Headlining the list of entertainers will be singer/songwriter/producer, Little Willie G, who began his career in the 60s as the lead singer for “Thee Midniters,” the legendary R&B group from East Los Angeles. Singer/songwriter/actor, Javen Campbell, whose hit single “One Step” is featured in the film, “The Cross” and who has a supporting role in the film, “Preacher’s Kid,” will also perform. Other scheduled performers include rap artist, Joe “The 4th Man,” Rosalyn Jordan-Mills, Jacob G, Ray Torres & The Mercy, and David Castanon Jr.

The concert is sponsored by the Covina-based Man E Moreno Foundation, an organization dedicated to the healing of those that have lost a love one to a violent crime.
