National Night Out

On Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011, Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputies and Firemen alongside Duarte Public Safety Personnel and elected officials mingled with residents at Duarte’s 28th National Night Out celebrations throughout the city. Fourteen Neighborhood Watch Blocks gathered and celebrated National Night Out while learning about crime trends and crime prevention tips. The gatherings took various forms including pool parties, block parties, pot lucks, and ice cream socials. The City was also able to recognize participating Block Captains for their hard work throughout the year and even raffle first aid kits sponsored by our local Target store.

This collaborative effort wouldn’t have been possible without our Neighborhood Watch Volunteers, Duarte Target, LA County Fire and our greatest supporter, the LA County Sheriff Department.

Thank you Duarte Neighborhood Watch Block Captains and participating residents for getting involved in your community.
