Community Invited to Free Concert at
Duarte Performing Arts Center Dec. 30
DUARTE, CA, December 27, 2010 – Duarte residents and neighboring community members are invited to attend a Friends & Family Reunion Concert benefiting the Duarte Education Foundation on Thursday, Dec. 30 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Duarte Performing Arts Center, 1401 Highland Ave.
Convenient, free parking is available and lobby doors open at 4 p.m. Admission is free but donations will be accepted.
Entertainment will include a variety of Christian musical genres as well as soul, jazz, and pop. Performances will include singers James Vincent Gaston, Valerie Northington Geason, Melida Smith, Beth Stogner, Eddie and Christiana Howard, Lois Jenkins and Carrie Walker. Dance performances will feature Victoria Collins, Toulonne Newhouse, Swati Puri and Our Inheritance Cultural Arts Group. Also featured will be special musical presentations under the direction of Tirrell Dillard and Ulises Gutierrez by Patricia and Morgan Tucker, Neil Earle and Friends, and, pianist Brandon Ahumada.
Local nonprofit organizations will offer a variety of delicious food and beverages for sale.
The Friends & Family Reunion Concert, co-sponsored by the City of Duarte and the Duarte Education Foundation, in collaboration with the Community Mediation Team (CMT), offers wholesome family entertainment and the opportunity for community members to come together in unity and peace.
