Housing Element
The Housing Element is a chapter of the City's General Plan and sets forth local housing policy. The City must meet requirements that are set by the State of California that relate to the providing of regional housing needs and other similar requirements. The City submitted a draft of its Housing Element to the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for review which was later approved and issued a letter of compliance.
The Planning Commission reviewed the information and recommended approval to City Council at its March 21st meeting.
The City Council adopted the City's 2008-2014 Housing Element on April 12, 2011.
