Promise Fellow Recruitment Now Underway
DUARTE, CA, June 15, 2011- Duarte Promise; The Alliance for Youth announces its annual recruitment for AmeriCorp VIP Promise Fellows beginning in June, 2011. Since 2000, the program has recruited more than 32 local youth for this service capacity whose main mission is to enhance volunteer capacity and provide the “Five Promises” to local youth ages 0 to 18.
VIP AmeriCorp Fellows will be heavily involved in increasing the number of volunteers needed for services projects throughout the community. The position offers a wonderful opportunity to develop leadership, community organizing, and volunteer support skills. Requirements include a full time, one-year commitment with a minimum of 1700 hours that may include evenings and weekends.
In order to qualify, you must be at least 17 years of age, clear a criminal background check, obtain a CPR certification, and be able work well with others on a team.
