Building & Safety

The Building and Safety Division is responsible for the review of construction plans and for the performance of various building inspection activities including issuance of Building Permits. This department protects the public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, and quality of materials, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of all buildings and structures within the City of Duarte. The City of Duarte contracts with the County of Los Angeles for building and safety services.

Building Codes
A copy of the adopted Los Angeles Building Laws is on file at Duarte City Hall, and is available at the County website.

Building Fees
Building Code Fees are periodically amended and updated by Los Angeles County.
