Huntington Courts Phase Two Opening Celebration, Nov. 5

DUARTE, CA, October 27, 2011 – A daylong family fun event with food, pony rides, a deejay, and live entertainment featuring a Beatles Tribute band, Britain’s Finest, will celebrate the opening of Phase Two of the Huntington Courts home development

in the 2100 block of Huntington Dr. in Duarte, on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Manoj Patel of AHSU, LLC, owner/developer of Huntington Courts, said it will also be an opportunity to showcase “the jewels” of Duarte with the City, School District, Duarte Public Safety, City of Hope and many community nonprofits on hand with information and displays. Other participants will include the Duarte Chamber of Commerce, Duarte Kiwanis, Rebuilding Together, DCTV Duarte Public Access, Friends of the Duarte Library, Duarte Historical Society, Maryvale Family Resource and Early Education Center, and Duarte Elks. Duarte’s Promise – The Alliance for Youth and D.A.R.T., the Duarte Area Resource Team will be provide volunteers for the day.

“Duarte is a friendly and welcoming community that offers a host of shopping, recreation and involvement opportunities. Thirteen city parks, a scenic mile-and-a-half long multi-purpose trail that parallels the Duarte foothills, Senior Center, Teen Center, and community fitness center combine to help make Duarte a choice location for families to live, work and play,” said Patel.

Building Worx, Inc. built the newly completed 14 two-story homes in phase two of the proposed 51-home development. The first phase of 21 homes was completed in 2008. Set in a courtyard garden design, the 10 detached single family homes and one fourplex range in size from 1,234 square feet to mid-2,000 square feet. The single family homes feature three to four bedrooms. The fourplex homes each feature two to three bedrooms. Financing for the project was made possible by American Plus Bank in Arcadia and a $1 million loan from the Duarte Redevelopment Agency.  Rana Madain of Podley Properties heads the sales team.  No date has been set for the start of the final phase.  For more information, contact Rana Madain at (626) 827-9951.
