CDBG Funding Application Process Now Underway

 

DUARTE, CA November 7, 2011 - The City of Duarte Community Development Department is currently accepting funding request applications for the Public Service component of its Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) for the upcoming 2012-2013 fiscal year. The fiscal year starts on July 1, 2012 and ends on June 30, 2013.  If your organization would like to be considered for funding of a public service program that assists low- and moderate income households living in the City of Duarte, please complete and submit an application and requested supporting documentation.  The completed application and all supporting documentation must be submitted no later than Monday, November 21, 2011.

 

Based on projected federal funding levels for the CDBG program, it is expected that no more than $23,000.00 will be available for public service programs with a minimum funding amount of $10,000 for each approved program. Therefore, it is expected that a maximum of two public service programs will be funded. To be eligible for CDBG funding, the proposed program is required to meet the following objective:

 

  • Primarily benefit low- to moderate-income households (including youths) residing in the incorporated area of the City of Duarte (unincorporated County area is not eligible) pursuant to Federal regulations including income guidelines described in Attachment A of the application.
