Club Duarte (Middle School Students)

Date:               Friday, April 20

Time:              7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Fee:                 $5

The Duarte Teen Center will be transformed into the rocking hot spot for middle school youth. Live DJ, dancing, food, and game room activities.

Youth Employment Workshop

Date:               Wednesday, April 25

Time:              3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Fee:                 FREE

Youth between the ages of 15-18 will participate in an employment workshop. The workshop will include tips on finding a job, gaining employment experience, resume writing, filling out job applications, interview tips and how to be successful once you land a job. Local employers will be on site to speak about employment opportunities. Please register in advance at the Teen Center. Space is limited.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Date:               Thursday, May 3

Time:              3:30 p.m.

Fee:                 $1 for food

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the Teen Center. There will be traditional Mexican food for all to enjoy!

Teen Cultural Awareness Training

Date:               Wednesday, May 9

Time:              3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Fee:                 FREE

This activity-based training is designed for youth ages 14-18. Participants will explore cultural differences, discuss respecting and honoring diversity, and examine personal attitudes in regards to intolerance. Call the Teen Center for more information.

Summer Kick Off BBQ/Graduation Party!

Date:               Tuesday, June 5

Time:              3:30 p.m.

Fee:                 $1 (Graduates are free!)

Enjoy cheeseburgers, chips, fresh fruit, and a beverage.
