For the past several months, the City has been in the process of developing new zoning for the central part of the city. The Town Center Specific Plan is the result of months of work to put in place a zoning that will help to shape our community for the next 20 years and beyond.
The Town Center Specific Plan and the related Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is available for viewing at the following locations: City Hall, 1600 Huntington Drive; Los Angeles County Public Library, 1301 Buena Vista Street; and Public Safety Building, 1042 Huntington Drive. The Specific Plan and Draft Supplemental EIR are also available for on-line viewing at www.duartetowncenter.com.
The project website provides a lot of information about the current process to develop stronger zoning standards and includes a draft version of the specific plan. The site also provides that ability to comment on the plan and see photo simulations of possible build out scenarios.
