4th ANNUAL DUARTE UNITY MARCH CELEBRATES COMMUNITY PEACE
DUARTE, CA, October 31, 2016 – The 4th Annual City of Duarte Unity March themed “Imagine all the People Living Life in Peace” is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th and will begin at 9:00 a.m. This youth driven event presented by the Duarte Mayor’s Youth Council provides a platform to raise awareness about race relations and call upon the community to continue living in peace. All members of the community are invited to participate in what promises to be an exciting event.
The march will begin on the steps of Duarte City Hall, 1600 Huntington Drive, and will conclude at Duarte Park, 1400 Buena Vista Street. Participants will celebrate the conclusion of the march with music, food, performances by Duarte Dance, and a keynote speaker, former Mayor Lois Gaston. Free t-shirts will be provided to the first 150 participants so come early!
