Debris to Be Removed From Greenbank Ave. Starting January 31st

The City of Duarte will begin to transport sediment that was stockpiled at Greenbank Avenue to the Los Angeles County Manning Pit Facility starting Tuesday, January 31, 2017. The City’s contractor Sully-Miller will begin transporting the sediment from the stockpile starting at 7:00AM,  and anticipates work to take three days to complete.

The contractor will be using eight trucks, an excavator, a loader and a water truck to perform the work.  The route that the City Contractor will use to transport the sediment will be from Greenbank Avenue to Royal Oaks Drive to Las Lomas Road onto Huntington Drive. From there, they will go to the Irwindale facility. The City cleared the mud and debris off roadways during the recent collection of storms.  The mud and debris (sediment) was temporarily stockpiled on a vacant lot located at the 200 block of Greenbank Avenue due to the need to complete soil testing and locate a facility that could the handle the load.  For additional information on this project, please contact the City of Duarte Public Works Department at 626-357-7931 x233.
