City Moves Back to Green Alert Level; Weekend Storm Indicates Light Showers

The City of Duarte has moved back to the Green Alert Level as of February 7th and Duarte Transit has resumed normal operations.  In terms of pending weather events, the National Weather Service has alreadly advised city officials regarding an upcoming Friday, February 11th and Saturday the 12th storm. Preliminary weather models are indicating light showers of 1/2" to 1" rain totals with intensity rates of a 1/4" an hour. If these models remain consistent, the City expects to stay at a Green Alert Level through the weekend.  Additionally, Los Angeles County Public Works will not be issuing a phase flow alert for the Fish Fire Impact Area at this time.

The City of Duarte always encourages residents in the Fish Fire Impact area to prepare BEFORE the storm. Unfilled sandbags are available at the Los Angeles County Fire Station Department 44, located at 1105 Highland Avenue in the rear area 24/7.
