DUARTE TO REMAIN AT GREEN ALERT LEVEL FOR EXPECTED RAINSTORM
DUARTE, CA, MARCH 22, 2017 - The National Weather Service has notified the City of Duarte that an upcoming Saturday storm is expected to produce 1/4” to 1/2” inch of rain in the community. The City will remain at Green level during this minor event and it is not anticipated to damage the Duarte hillsides left barren by the Fish Fire last year. No EOC operations are anticipated this weekend and both LA County Department of Public Works and Duarte Public Safety will monitor the weather and the impacted mudslide areas throughout the rest of the week.
Residents are encouraged to monitor weather conditions and be alert to changes. If you have any questions, please contact Duarte Public Safety at (626)357-7938 open six days per week from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday and 7:30 am to 4:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
