The Duarte Chamber of Commerce will continue its 97-year tradition of serving hundreds of Duarte businesses and community members in their new location at 1735 Huntington Drive. Their new home, located on the historical Route 66, is approximately 1,674 square feet in size and received approximately $50,000 in improvements funded by the City. The official grand opening is set for September 27, 2017 at 5:30 pm.
The Duarte Chamber provides their members with the necessary tools to help their business flourish including access to a webpage, URL, and a community, web-based calendar for listing their upcoming events or sales that they want the community to be a part of. The Chamber also serves as the official “Welcome Wagon” to all new businesses that join the organization by providing them with ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremonies plus the many other helpful tools.
While hosting many monthly activities during the year, the organization also hosts two important annual community events including “Taste of Duarte”, an evening filled with music, food and fun, as well as the “Women’s Business Expo,” a female empowerment and resource fair featuring informative workshops, and other resources for women looking to start their own business.
“The Duarte Chamber and its membership is extremely appreciative of the City of Duarte and City Council for its continuing support of a valuable resource to our community,” lauded Jim Kirchner, Duarte Chamber President/CEO. “This allows us to continue offering meaningful and beneficial opportunities to our membership and community at large, and now with visibility on ‘America’s Main Street’, Route 66.”
