Starting the week of February 4th, the City of Duarte will begin a Sidewalk Repair Project along the east side of Las Lomas between Royal Oaks Drive and Huntington Drive. This project will last approximately six weeks and construction will take place between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
During construction, parking may be prohibited in some areas at various times. “NO PARKING” signs will be posted 72 hours prior to commencement of the work. Existing mail delivery, trash collection, and street sweeping schedules will be maintained throughout the project. Access to residential and commercial driveways will be maintained except when affected by actual construction as well as safe pedestrian passageways.
The project consists of asphalt removal along the stretch; constructing ADA compliant concrete sidewalk and driveway approaches, removal of some trees that are causing root damage and planting new trees and landscape. Residents will be receiving hand delivered notices from the contractor to the affected residents in advance of construction beginning. Affected residents may contact the contractor Ruiz Concrete and Paving with questions at 562-439-3070. All other questions regarding the project can be handled by calling Duarte City Hall at 626 357-7931.
