Halloween Howl!
Date: Wednesday, October 31
Time: 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Age: 12 and under
Location: Royal Oaks Park, 2627 Royal Oaks Drive
Put on your best costume and meet us at the Halloween Howl for carnival games, music, and the Fun Zone - an inflatable attractions play area! There will be contests, a costume parade, refreshments, and more!
SANTA’S MAILBOX/INBOX
Date: November 26 through December 13
Ages: Boys and girls, Ages 10 and younger
Santa’s Mailbox will be located in front of the Recreation Department counter in City Hall. Letters may be deposited there Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or mailed to 1600 Huntington Drive, Duarte, CA 91010-2592, Attention: Santa Claus. Please include your address and phone number. Santa will also accept letters via email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . All letters will be forwarded to the North Pole and Santa will write back!
DUARTE ROTARY CLUB’S BREAKFAST WITH SANTA and SANTA’S WORKSHOP
Date: Saturday, December 1
Time: 8:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Location: Duarte Community Center, 1600 Huntington Drive
Fee: $4 for adults, $2 for children ages 10 and under
Santa will be there for photos and fun! Breakfast presented by the Duarte Rotary Club. After breakfast, make decorations for your Christmas tree and the holidays. Tickets available at the door.
HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING AND FIESTA
Date: Thursday, December 6
Time: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. (Tree lighting at 8:00 p.m.)
Location: Duarte Senior Center, 1610 Huntington Drive
Dinner: $6 per person
Join the fun as Duarteans light the City’s official living Christmas tree. Enjoy musical entertainment, crafts, games, and a visit from Santa! Dine on a delicious traditional tamale dinner and then kick off the holidays with the tree lighting!
SANTA’S VISITS TO BEARDSLEE AND ROYAL OAKS PARKS!
On Wednesday, December 12, Santa will visit and hand out candy canes to all children at Beardslee Park from 2:45 – 3:15 p.m. and Royal Oaks Park from 3:30 – 4:00 p.m.

Get into the holiday spirit with this enchanting special event. There will be holiday games, special crafts, music, prizes, refreshments, and a visit from Santa Claus! RSVP by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 357-7931. Limited to the first 90 participants. FREE!
Holiday Lights Free Exchange – Before Santa’s Party SCE customers can exchange an incandescent holiday light string for an LED string at no cost. Longer lasting, energy saving LED holiday lights! Stop by December 12 from 3:30-4:30pm at Santa’s Party. Presented by the SGV Council of Governments.
